CORBIN, Merle D. Delton Passed away Feb. 6, 2010. Merle was born Dec. 12, 1930 to John Eldred and Anne (DeClercq) Corbin in Eaton Rapids, Mi. Merle worked at Union Camp and retired from Southern Container in Lancaster, PA as maintenance superintendent. He served his country in Germany during Korean Conflict. He helped established the Micro Midget race track in Eaton Rapids. His hobbies were fishing, bowling, driving race cars, collecting antique clocks, boxing, auctions, playing cards and reading and watching NASCAR. He was married to Leota Carpenter Corbin Nov. 3, 1953. They had 56 years together. He is survived by his wife, daughters Karen Baty of Kalamazoo, Carol Pilmore of Elkhart, IN, son Mark Corbin of PA, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a sister Phyllis Vincent of Lansing, sister-in-law Connie Corbin and nieces and nephews. Special friends Larry and Marie Mony, Amanda and TJ Risner, Gerry and Diane Reau, Bernie and Karen Wilcox, Bob Finch of El Paso, TX and many dear friends in Lancaster, PA and others. He was preceded by his parents, brother Dan, son-in-laws Jerry Pilmore and Mike Baty. At his request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.
