Michael Lee Cronen

August 25, 1941 — December 26, 2023

Otsego

Michael (Mickey) L Cronen passed peacefully on December 26th in the presence of his children after a long illness. He was born August 25th, 1941, in Otsego, MI to Richard and Edna (Katz) Cronen.  

Mickey enjoyed golf and going to the UP with friends and was the Detroit Lions biggest fan.  He was employed by the paper industry for most of his life. He loved music and playing his guitar. He was a great dancer and singer as well. Mickey had a great sense of humor, and his laughter was contagious.  

Mickey was a loving father to his children: Terri (John) and Mike (Angie) Cronen and a loving grandfather to Joshua Saunders of South Carolina, Ashley Saunders of Grand Rapids, Hanna (Tyler) Adams and Farren Nickerson of Otsego. Mickey is also survived by siblings Shirley of Battle Creek, Tony of Phoenix AZ, Bill of Kalamazoo, and Ritchie of Phoenix, as well as his sister-in-law Ruth Cronen of Kalamazoo. Also surviving are great grandchildren Kiki, Jack, Lydia, Max, Parker, Oliver, Declan, Aspen, Quinn, Elle, and Reed. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Barbara (Keeley), Sonny, Robert, Larry and Dennis. 

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. At his request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Cheshire Hills golf course at a later date to be announced.
