Mina Mae Davis

Mina Mae Davis, age 94 of Scotts, Michigan, passed away on November 7, 2020 at The Birches, Leonidas, Michigan. She was born in Scotts, Michigan, on December 5, 1925 the daughter of JC and Francis (Tassell) Pence. Mina graduated from Scotts High School with the Class of 1943. Early in her career she worked at Sealtest Ice Cream and later retired after many years from The Upjohn Company. She enjoyed her family, farming, gardening, Detroit Lions and Tiger games and country music. Mina is survived by her daughters Julia (John) Bortnik of Three Rivers and Gayle (Delmar) Bachert of Hastings and her son Maurice (Beverly) Romig of Scotts, Michigan, and seven grandchildren, David, Sean, James, Michelle, Jenni, Sara and Jason, and twelve great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, her parents, her brother, George Pence, and sisters, Mildred Bennett, Maxine Bartholomew, Ardith Forman, and Patricia Bagwell. The family will announce a Celebration of her Life with a graveside service in the spring.
