Miriam Elaine Finch

Miriam Elaine (Folk) Finch passed away peacefully on April 10, 2022. Miriam was born on January 6, 1929 in Finlay, Ohio to the late Curtis J. and Leura F. Folk. She was united in marriage to the late Daniel N. Finch on April 16, 1949. Miriam and Dan met at Ohio State University and were married in Columbus, Ohio. They were married for fifty nine years. Miriam's pursuit of degree from Ohio State University was interrupted by a career opportunity for Dan in Cincinnati, Ohio. Later, Miriam graduated from Western Michigan University. Miriam and Dan travelled extensively around the world. In particular, they enjoyed historical sites and art history. Tennis was a passion for Miriam and she played the game into her seventies, later enjoying the sport on television. Miriam was an only child. She is survived by her three children, Susan (Randall) Ailes of Kalamazoo, Linda (David) Tegarden of Blacksburg, VA and Daniel (Diane) Finch Jr. of Portage; eight grandchildren, Kara, Courtney and Kyle Ailes, Christopher and Nathan Tegarden, Joshua, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Andrew Finch.
