Mitsu Haggard

Age 76. Passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, May 25, 2012. Mitsu was born in Okinawa, Japan on October 29, 1935, the daughter of the late Shizuka and Sumi Maeshiro. She was a kind woman who loved her family. Her home was always open and she was a wonderful caregiver and provider for her family. While he was stationed in Okinawa she met the love of her life Thomas L. Haggard, who survives. They were married, and enjoyed 50 years of life together. Mitsu loved to cook and bake and dinners were rarely missed at her home. She loved flowers and enjoyed taking care of the plants around her home. Above all things, she loved her family and took every opportunity she could to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She leaves them with special memories that will forever be in their hearts. She is also survived by 2 sons, Jim Haggard and Tom (Kelly) Haggard; 3 grandchildren, Clay, Paige, and Mason Haggard; a brother and four sisters all of Okinawa; as well as many great friends. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date
