Nina Piller, a remarkable individual whose life touched the hearts of many, has sadly passed away on January 1st, 2024. Born on May 14th, 1931, Nina's journey was filled with love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to both her family and work.

Nina's professional path exemplified her incredible work ethic and passion. She dedicated many years to America's Auto Auction of Greater Kalamazoo, where she left an indelible mark on the organization. Later in her career, she transitioned to Meijer's cheese department and continued to shine until her well-deserved retirement.

Described as feisty, strong-willed, and fiercely independent, Nina possessed a spirited personality that commanded respect from all who knew her. Her determination and tenacity served as an inspiration to those around her, leaving an enduring impact on their lives.

Among Nina's proudest accomplishments was her marriage with August "Bud" Piller.  In 1968, they embarked on a journey together filled with love, support, and countless cherished memories.  During their years together they accumulated several antique cars and were life members of the KAARC (Kalamazoo Antique Auto Restorers Club).  Most memories included restoring old cars and attending car shows throughout Michigan. Their marriage was a testament to the enduring power of commitment and companionship. Sadly Bud passed away in 1990.


Throughout her life journey, Nina held dear the memory of loved ones who preceded her in death. She now reunites with her husband Bud Piller, parents Townsend and Sherman (Skelton) Keeton, sister Katie Ruth and brother James Norman. Although their absence leaves a void in our hearts, their spirits will forever live on through cherished recollections.

Nina Piller's legacy will continue to resonate for generations to come. She embodied strength, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. As we bid farewell to this incredible soul, let us celebrate the beautiful tapestry of her life, filled with irreplaceable memories and countless lives touched.

Nina R. Piller, of Vicksburg passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 at the age of 92. Nina was born on May 14, 1931 in Waynesboro, TN. She was the daughter of Townsend and Sherman (Skelton) Keeton.

Nina is survived by her daughter: Tracy Piller, of Vicksburg; grandson: Brendan Maze, of Vicksburg; brother: Charles (Patsy) Norman, of TN; sister-in-law: Lynn Norman, of TN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband: August “Bud” Piller; brother James (Jim) Norman and sister Katie Ruth.

A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11am at the Vicksburg Cemetery.
