Norma Elaine Pinkerton (Weeks) passed away early Sunday morning on May 15th, 2016 at her home in Spring, TX while being cared for by her family. Born November 20th, 1929 to Norman J. Weeks, Sr. and Leola B. (Bourner) Weeks in Kalamazoo, MI. Norma was married to Jack L. Pinkerton on September 24th, 1948. Survived by one Grandson, Patrick J. Pinkerton and his wife Kymberly of Spring TX.; one Brother, Kenneth and wife Dorothy Weeks of Athens, MI,; Sisters-in-Law, Teresa Weeks of England and Nancy (Pinkerton) and her Husband Dick Gray of Northville, MI; plus several Nephews, Nieces, and Cousins. Norma was preceded in death by her Husband, Jack in 2003, her Father in 1955, her Mother in 2001, her Sons, Terrence in 2004 and Patrick in 1968, her Grandson Bradley in 1976, and her Brother Norman Jr. in 1997. Norma graduated from Vicksburg High School (MI) in 1947 and retired from Simpson Paper Company in 1987. She loved her family, she loved animals, nature, music, reading, eating out with family and friends, and travel. She was adored and respected by all she met from Michigan to Texas. Norma is loved and will be missed. Cremation has taken place with no funeral service at her request. Family will have a small gathering in her honor. Arrangements were made by Avink Funeral Home in Schoolcraft, MI. In lieu of flowers, Norma preferred donations made to the American Cancer Society and Veteran Charities.
