Paul Andrew Pingel

Pingel, Paul Andrew, 63, of Plainwell, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 from a heart attack. Paul was born September 15, 1951 in Royal Oak, Michigan. He attended St. Augustine Cathedral and graduated from Hackett High School in 1970. Paul was a Kalamazoo resident most of his life. He worked for Western Michigan University as a heavy equipment operator in the physical plant-landscape services retiring after over 25 years of service. Preceding him in death were parents Sylvester and Esther (Huber) Pingel. Paul is survived by sister Beatrice (John) Simcox of Fairfax, VA; brothers Bernard (Suzanne) of Indianapolis, IN, James (Chris) of Kalamazoo, and Michael (Tonya) of Portage, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and burial will occur at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery with a private ceremony. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
