Raymond Burl Simpson

Died at home on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009. He was born in Watson Twp. Aug. 19, 1923 the son of John and May Simpson and he was the last surviving child of nine. Burt was a lifelong farmer and was named to the Prairieville Farmers Hall of Fame. Burl and his wife, Arla were active members of the Allegan Drafthouse and Mule Ass. He is survived by his wife of 63 years and his children; David Simpson, Susan (Bob) McLean, Mark (Connie) Simpson and Alexa Kennedy. Burl was blessed with 7 grandchildren; Matt and Jeremy Simpson, John Simpson, Angie (Andy Litzinger) Simpson, James Kennedy, Lianne (Tomm) Edward and 4 great grandchildren; Ryan and Sean Kennedy, Quentin Edward and Alyssa Litzinger. Grandpa will be truly missed. Pastor Larry Goodrich a friend of the family since childhood will be officating at the memorial service. The family would like to say a special thank you to Wings of Hope Hospice Greater Allegan County for the kindness and support they extended to the Simpson Family. The family suggests memorials to Wings of Hope Hospice in lieu of flowers. The memorial service will be at noon Sat. Oct. 17, 2009 at the Monterey Center Methodist Church.
