Raymond Clark Wetherbee

Raymond Clark Wetherbee, Jr. passed away on November 3, 2019 at Rose Arbor Hospice after a courageous battle with Cancer, his loving family was at his side. Waiting for him above, are his parents, Raymond Sr. and Catherine (Moore) Wetherbee, his eldest son Alan, brother Harold, his grandson Alexander French and lifelong friend Larry Wilkins. Per his request he will be cremated, and no ceremony or visitation will take place, he wished to be remembered as he was. Surviving are his loving and beloved wife Janis; his sister Betty Carpenter; maternal half siblings, Janice Meints and Robert & Randall Wagner; daughters Wendy (Nathan Martens) Rice of Galesburg and Julie Wetherbee of Mattawan; his sons and wives Tony (Sara) of Kalamazoo, Scott (Tracy) of Saline, and Erik (Amanda) Wetherbee of Summersville, SC and his grandchildren, Amber (Joshua) Buzzo, Madelyn (James) Ballantyne, Ryan Montoya, Samantha French, Hannah, Gracie, Taylor, Spencer, and Tyler Wetherbee; and great grandchildren Addyson Zerbel, Payton Buzzo, Wesley, Brantley, Finley, Vayda Ballantyne, and Dixie Wilkinson; also 2 loved as if grandchildren Betsy and Nick Martens; and his loved and loving pet his dog Baxter. Ray worked and retired as an electrician from General Motors. In his spare time he enjoyed doing what most people would call work. He loved working on his lawn, gardening, growing plants, berries and tomatoes and feeding the birds. If it was outdoors, he enjoyed doing it. When he retired, he bought a motorhome and enjoyed, fulfilling his lifelong dream, of seeing the USA. When that dream was fulfilled, he resumed his pastimes of bowling and golf. When his sons were young, they were lucky to have him coach their many athletic endeavors, and the girls very much enjoyed tagging along and becoming sports enthusiast. He was always available with a smile on his face to anyone and everyone. He will be lovingly missed. The family wishes to thank all of those at Rose Arbor Hospice who made his final days so peaceful and comfortable.
