Rebecca I. (Abella) Ruff, of Jackson passed away on Sunday, December 8. 2019 at the age of 73. Rebecca was born on October 26, 1946 in Camaguey, Cuba. She was the daughter of Jose and Estrella Abella. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School with the Class of 1965. In 1987 she married Albert Ruff. Over the years, Rebecca worked for the City of Jackson Water Department and Jackson College. She is described as selfless, funny and loved to make everyone smile. In her spare time, she enjoyed going for walks and watching a good funny movie.
Rebecca is survived by her son: Michael (Julie) Potter, of Clark Lake; four grandchildren: Alex Potter, Mason Potter, Morgan Cordell-Potter, and Brianna Brewer; one great granddaughter, LaShaya; and numerous relatives in Cuba. She was preceded in death by her husband: Albert; grandson: Noah; and sister: Stella Simpson.
