Rhea Foreman

Rhea E. Foreman, age 72, passed away Monday August 19th with her family by her side. Rhea was born October 18, 1951, in Adrian MI. Shortly thereafter, her family moved to Grayling, MI where she was raised and graduated from Grayling High School. In the late 70’s Rhea moved to the Kalamazoo area and worked for the Meijer Co for over 30 years where she met many life-long friends. In her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and the numerous friends she made along the way. Rhea was one who was always there to help another out if she could. She was a true friend to many and will be missed.

Rhea is survived by her children, Jason Neilson and Kristi (Mike) Wright, both of Portage. Two Brothers Mark Duncan of Grayling and Bryon Duncan of Portage. Her sister-in-law Jan Kuiper of Portage. Rhea loved spending time with her 4 grandchildren. Jaedyn and Nicholas Neilson of Portage & Elise and Reagan Wright of Portage. 

A Celebration of life lunch will be held Saturday September 7th from 1-3PM at Valley Family Church in the Cathedral building at 2500 Vincent Avenue Portage, MI 49024. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Valley Family Church- Valley Groceries 2500 Vincent Ave. Portage, MI 49024 in honor of Rhea who was one who always made sure no one ever went hungry.
