Richard “Dick” Penn

Richard “Dick” Penn, age 74, of Marcellus MI, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 9, 2014.
Dick was born in Mishawaka IN, on October 1, 1940, the son of Forest William and Helen Grace (Leslie) Penn. On September 21, 1999 in Cassopolis, MI he married Marsha Lynn Strzelecki who survives.
He was in the tool & die business his whole life and founded United Tool & Engineering in 1972. Dick was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his farm and spending time there with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Marsha, two daughters, Sueann Penn –Barns of Oceola, IN and Samantha Creakbaum, of Granger, IN; one son, Stephen Penn of Granger, IN; two step-daughters Joelle (Tim) McCoy of Crown Point, IN and Kerri (Don) Veronesi of Crown Point, IN and his first wife Susan L. Penn of Granger, IN; 15 grandchildren, Grace (Jim), Zac, Tyler, Jodi, Emma, Braxton, Kaycie, Jason, Jessie, Ryan, Jake, Derek, Cole, Caden and Vivian. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Richard L. Penn in 2006 and his brother John R. Penn in 2011.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, October 13, 2014 in the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.
