Richard D Standish

Richard D. Standish Sr., age 83, of Kalamazoo, passed away on April 10, 2020. Dick was born on February 9, 1937 to Floyed & Mabel (Atkenson) Standish. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A small visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30 from 11:00 to 12:00 at the McCowen & Secord Funeral Home; 120 S. Woodhams St. in Plainwell. A graveside service will follow at Hillside Cemetery at noon. Dick’s family includes his wife of 63 years, Donna; his children: Cindy Lane, Richard Jr. (Carin) Standish, Tim (Louise) Standish of Alaska, Sandra (Dave) Goltz and Andrew Standish; 22 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters and his granddaughter Christina. Dick retired from Upjohn Company in 1992. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.
