Richard (Dick) Titman, 75, of Kalamazoo, passed away peacefully at his home on April 28, 2013.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on May 1 2013 at 1030 am with Father Robert F. Creagan officiating. A luncheon will be held in the parish following the mass.
Richard was born in Columbus, Nebraska to Lyle (Bus) and Frances Titman on August 28, 1938. He followed in the footsteps of his father and spent many years as a Thoroughbred Racehorse Trainer. He retired his passion for horse racing out of the Detroit Race Course and joined his wife at Edwards Garment Company in Kalamazoo MI, for 15 years. There he enjoyed interacting with the many college students that make up their work force as well as working side by side with the love of his life.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Frances Titman and sister Constance Titman
Richard is survived by his dear wife, Mary Titman, son Richard Titman, Jr. daughter Stephanie (Brad) Kerlikowski, daughter Stacia (Perry) Vigiletti, daughter Rhonda (Carl) Breit, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by siblings Judith Davis, John, Sam and David Titman along with numerous nieces and nephews.
