Robert Frederick Kurtycz

Robert Frederick Kurtycz, of Portage, MI passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the age of 51. Rob was born on August 17, 1969. He was the son of Frederick and Patricia (Massey) Kurtycz. Rob graduated from Airport High School in Carleton MI before furthering his education. Rob earned a Bachelor's of Science degree from Grand Valley State University, a Master of Science degree from Ferris State University and a Juris Doctorate from Cooley Law School. Rob had been practicing Law in West Michigan for a number of years preceding his death. In addition to his law practice, Rob was an avid photographer covering many subjects, including high school and college sports in West Michigan. Rob is survived by his two sons, Gerrit and Kinnon, as well as his brother Chris. Rob is also survived by an extended family as well as many friends. In accordance with Rob's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of the Avink Funeral Home & Cremation Society.
