REDINGER, Robert Homer Kalamazoo Passed away July 9, 2011. Robert was born Jan. 12, 1925 in New Bethlehem, PA the son of Homer and Larue (Kerr) Redinger. He was a kind and generous father, grandfather and friend. He served proudly in WWII as a Signalman on the USS Buckley. He retired from Sears Roebuck from the sporting goods department. He loved fishing and hunting but family most and friends at McDonalds on West Main. Life member of the VFW Post 1527, Life member and Past commander of American Legion Post 36, Life member and past Chef deGare Voiture #161 40&8, Life member of Schoolcraft Masonic Lodge #118. Surviving are 2 daughters; Nancy (Leo) Hooker and Linda (Jim) Salter, 4 grandsons; Tom (Tracy) East, Robert (Lori) East, Todd (Michelle) East and Rick Ketelaar, 3 granddaughters; Robin (Rich) Gerlofs, Jaclyn Salter, Angela Hooker, 10 Great grandchildren, very special friend Wilma Brown. Preceded in death by wife Annabelle and brother Jack. At his request cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 11am Wednesday July 27, 2011 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
