Roberta Capitola Reeder

REEDER, Roberta C. Kalamazoo Age 97 Is now resting in God's embrace, having passed away on December 19, 2013. She is once again in the loving companionship of her husband, Edgar 'Stub' Reeder, her parents Foster and Essa Dillman, her brother and his wife, Raymond and Mary Dillman, her Father-in-law Royal Reeder and his first wife Georgia, and her step Mother-in-law Irene Reeder. Born in South Haven Michigan in March of 1916, she married her high school sweetheart in 1937 after working for the South Haven Tribune and Michigan State government for two years. The rest of her life was devoted to her family, friends, the love of sports and travel. She moved to Kalamazoo Michigan with her husband in 1970 and was an avid tennis player, golfer and bowling enthusiast into her 80's. Her life was defined by beauty, grace and love. The greatest love of all was for her family, and she leaves that lasting love with her daughter, Bonnie Ayotte, her son Robert and his wife Susan, her nephews Charles and Fern Dillman, their daughter Caitlin, and Don and Diane Dillman. The Family will forever be grateful to Park Place Assisted Living in Kalamazoo for the loving care they extended to 'Bobbie' throughout the last 6 years of her life, and to Southern Care hospice for the compassion and comfort that they provided during the final months. A private memorial is planned for the family at this time with internment and services in the spring at South Haven cemetery.
