Ronald Martin Jr.

Ronald Lavon Martin Jr. "Ronnie", 60, of White Pigeon passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 under Hospice Care in Three Rivers after a long battle with stage four Prostate Cancer. Ron was born January 6, 1961 to Ronald L. and Carol (Plank) Martin in Elkhart, Indiana. Ron was married to Kimberly Graff and their marriage lasted ten years. They had two daughters Amy and Jennifer. Ron was preceded in death by his father Ronald Martin Sr., his grandparents Hubert and Irma Martin, grandparents Sherman and Dorothy Plank, uncle Jake Galloway and James Plank, aunt Juanita Plank and cousins Janie Dolph, Jay Plank and Danny Galloway. Ron is survived by his mother Carol Martin, daughters Amy (Bob) Sherry and Jennifer (Todd) Lamirand, his brother Steve (Amy) Martin and sister Rhonda (Joe) Barnes, grandchildren Jesamyn Glick and Jadyn Sherry. Ron graduated from Glen Oaks Community College with an Associate's Degree in Electronics Technician. He owned Omni Electronics in Three Rivers, MI and worked at Poly Electronics in Elkhart, IN until 2020. Ron had many hobbies which included cooking, hunting, traveling, photography, drawing, trains and collector of KISS memorabilia. Ron's most passionate hobby was drag racing and his 66' front engine dragster (slingshot) that he built himself. The track he preferred to race at was US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, MI. This is where he spent most Saturdays in the summer with his family as his pit crew. Ron was a great father, grandfather, and friend. He loved with his whole heart and he would do anything for the people he loved. The love he had for "His Girls" showed the unbreakable bond he had with his daughters and granddaughters. There was never a moment when he did not say he loved and cherished them. Even though he is gone the love that he displayed will last for eternity. There is no denying that his everlasting love for his daughters and granddaughters kept him going. The family would also like to thank Brian Mitchell who was not only Ron’s coworker but a friend, a brother and family with all his love and support. His kind words and generosity will never be forgotten. Ron's final wish was to have a celebration of life instead of a funeral, date yet to be determined.
