Ronald Wade Waynick, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the age of 70. He was born on March 7, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, and spent his life creating cherished memories with his family and friends.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Waynick, and their children: Melinda (Brandon) Johns, Jessica Matey, and Bryan (Jessica) Waynick. He also leaves behind his siblings, Glenda Tooley, Tammie Waynick, and Sue (Dan) Wallace, and was known as a dear nephew to Jess, Reba, and Tommy Waynick. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law: Doug Maystead. His legacy is further carried on by his adored grandchildren: Megan, Logan, Alex, Summer, Marshall, and Bailey.
He was preceded in his passing by his mother, Mary Sue, father, Robert Waynick, and sister, Jennie Maystead.
Ronald's career was dedicated to General Motors on Cork Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where he worked diligently and eventually retired. Beyond his professional life, he found immense joy in his hobbies. Ronald was an avid mechanic, spending countless hours in his garage, skillfully working on various projects. He was also a passionate NASCAR enthusiast and could often be found in front of the television, cheering for his favorite drivers. In addition, he had an unwavering loyalty to the Detroit Lions, and he cheered them on through every victory and defeat.
Cremation has taken place, and the family invites all who knew and loved Ronald to join them for a luncheon on November 12 at 2:00 PM at Main St Pub in Vicksburg, Michigan. This gathering will be a time to share stories, celebrate his life, and support one another through this difficult period of loss.
Ronald Wade Waynick will forever be remembered for his warm heart, dedication to family, and his passion for the things he loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be greatly missed.
