Ronald Otto Wrege, 78, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, with his family at his side in Kalamazoo, Michigan. 

Ron was born on November 25, 1946, in Ludington, Michigan. He grew up in Ludington with his mother and father, Fern and Walfred, and siblings, Martha and Bill. Ron graduated from Ludington High School in 1965, during which time he met his wife, Linda. He graduated from Flint Barber School following high school. Ron and Linda moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan and married in 1970. 

Ron began working as a barber in 1973, where he met his best friend and business partner, George Henderson. George and Ron opened their business, HairCutters, in 1979. They continued growing their business together until they retired in 2017. 

Since childhood, Ron spent most of his free time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, and running. He loved traveling and vacationing with his family and spent countless hours cheering on his daughters and grandchildren at soccer games. He also enjoyed going out to eat with friends and sharing good times together. Ron brought a sense of humor and cheerfulness to everyone around him. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. 

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Walfred Wrege; his mother, Fern Wrege; his brother, William (Bill) Wrege; and his sister, Martha Johnson. Ron is survived by his wife, Linda Wrege; his daughters, Lindsey Wrege and Suzanne Baker; as well as his son-in-law, Jon Baker and grandchildren, Ian, Haley, and Emma.

Following his wishes, cremation has taken place.
