Rose Marie Reiter

After a long courageous battle, Rose M. Reiter of Schoolcraft passed away March 22, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. She was born November 29, 1938, in Kalamazoo, Michigan and was the fourth child of Floyd and Eva (Amyotte) Norwood. On June 11, 1958, she married the absolute love of her life, Jay C Reiter. Together they had three daughters.

Rose is survived by her loving, devoted husband Jay, of 63 years, her three daughters, Theresa O’Leary, Schoolcraft: Diane (Joe) Prior, Schoolcraft, and Christine (Randy) Bennett, Kalamazoo; five grandchildren:  Tyler, Jennifer, and Megan O’Leary; Kimberly (Bryce) Ingram and Michael (Andrea) Prior; three great grandchildren:  Barrett Ingram, Bennett Ingram, and Presley Prior; and one brother: James (Connie) Norwood. Rose was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Barbara Ellison, Robert Norwood, Mary Lou Hotchkiss, and Richard Norwood.

In accordance with Rose’s wishes she will be laid to rest at Schoolcraft Twp Cemetery during a private committal service.

Memorials made in Rose’s memory may be directed for the Food Pantry in Schoolcraft, please make checks out to Schoolcraft Presbyterian Church, (for Schoolcraft Food Pantry), PO Box 635, Schoolcraft, MI  49087 and ad "food pantry" in the memo of the check.
