Rosemary passed away peacefully on November 9, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born Rosemary Clara Huston on September 3, 1928 in Mt Pleasant, Iowa. She was the 10th of 12 children born to Basil & Clara Huston. One sister, Miriam Pike, survives. Rosemary graduated Magna Cum Laude from Iowa Wesleyan College in 1948, where she met her future husband, Paul Stark Haserodt. They were married in June 1949 and moved to Kalamazoo in 1952 where they built a happy and fulfilling life together. She taught Junior High School Social Studies and English until she retired in 1990. She was the recipient of the LeRoy Bartoo Service award. Rosemary, an avid reader, also enjoyed dinners out with Paul and playing bridge with their friends. She was tirelessly loyal to the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings and Lions. Rosemary was preceded in death in March 2013 by her husband of 64 years, Paul. She is survived by her three children, Christopher (Louise) Haserodt, Karen (Rick) Stites and Kurt (Mary) Haserodt, five grand daughters, Heidi (Steve) Ardern, Courtney (Hector) Ulloa, Megan (David) Maxey, Molly (Grover) Munn and Alexandra Haserodt, and one great grand daughter, Alice Ardern. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.
