Ruth Lorraine Strand

STRAND, Ruth L. Died March 21, 2010 at home. Mrs. Strand was born December 2, 1918 in Otsego, Michigan. She worked as a nurse for many years, most of the time in California. She was the former wife of Howard C. Strand of Marshall, Michigan. She is survived by many nieces and nephews in the local area. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, Fred Sherwood, Hank Sherwood, Jim Sabin, Beatrice Miller and Rosella Cunningham. At Mrs. Strand's request, she will be cremated and there will be no memorial services. Cremation of her body is handled by Avink Funeral Home Cremation Society, 129 S. Grand, Schoolcraft, Michigan. Her ashes will be interred at Riverside Cemetery in Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Borgess Hospice in her name.
