Ruth Anne Turks

TURKS, Ruth Anne (Kitzmiller) Galesburg Passed away March 28, 2012 after complications from a lung transplant. Ruth was born March 27, 1942 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Ketchbaw) Kitzmiller. Ruth was a class of 1960 graduate of Comstock High School. She worked at National Waterlift and retired from there after many years of employment. Ruth was an avid golfer, a huge U of M fan, she enjoyed playing the lottery, and she enjoyed yard work. Ruth felt that you could never have too many friends or family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ronald (Rocky) Kitzmiller; and two sisters, Elaine (Kitzmiller)Overholts and Martha Kitzmiller. She is survived by her son, Ron (Niki) Turks of Galesburg; daughter, Kari Turks of North Dakota; sister, Carol (Larry) Logan; half-sisters, Penny (Randy) Terry, Susan (Tom) Brady; step-siblings, Pam Fry and Allen Whipple; grand-children, Zack Turks, Adde Turks and Levi McClish; one aunt; one uncle; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A memorial service will be held at noon Tuesday, April 3rd at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Galesburg.
