Sabo Bolhuis

Sabo (Sam) Bolhuis March 03, 1929 - October 26, 2013 Vicksburg, MI Son of Daniel and Anna Catherine (Ouderkerk) Bolhuis of the Netherlands and was the 11th of 12 children. Sabo's children are Alan Bolhuis of Georgia, Steve Bolhuis of Kalamazoo, Glenn Bolhuis deceased in 2001; the mother of the children is Beverly Mansfield. Sabo's Grandchildren are Jason and Chelsea Bolhuis; and his Great Grandchild is Jaden. Sabo's Step Daughter is Juanita Emmans; his Step Grandchildren are Joe Emmans with Krystin Mottor and Devon Emmans with Ted Roberts. His Step Great Grandchild is Amelia Roberts. Sabo's favorite Nephew is Dave Westervelt Sabo's living Brother is Enno Bolhuis of Boise, ID; his living Sisters are Grace Gary of Portage, MI and Katherine Lowman of Allegan, MI. Sabo's deceased Brothers are Lawrence, Harm, Henry and John Bolhuis; his deceased Sisters are Anna Shyer, Trena Farr, Fredrica Moerdyke and Gertrude Westervelt. Sabo was survived by his wife of 19 years Clara (Briggs - Emmans) Bolhuis. Sabo retired from Hapman - Bourroghs Manf. (after about 34 years) in 1994. After retirement he built shelves, picture frames and bird houses for himself and family members; a computer desk for his wife Clara and just recently a dresser for his Step Daughter Juanita. He also built 2 out buildings for all of his talents and yard work. He also traveled all over MI, out west and eastern US, also Canada and Alaska. He also liked planting flowers and a vegetable garden with his wife Clara.
