Sandra Lee Eversole

Sandra Eversole Age 63 Richland, MI Passed away Monday, June 14th at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence surrounded by her husband and family. Sandra was born May 17th, 1947 to Vernon E. and Merle L. McPhail in Birmingham, Alabama. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul Thomas Eversole, who survives. She also leaves her daughter, Sherry Lynn (Michael) Kerney, son, Scott Thomas Eversole, and grandson, Ryan Thomas Edgar, all of whom she adored and who stayed by her side with loving support during her fight with cancer. Also left is her mother, Merle McPhail, two sisters, Emily M. (Clarence) Barth, Linda S. (Mark) Honeysett, and several nieces and nephews and special friends. Sandra grew up in Kalamazoo and moved to Portage where she spent the majority of her life. She retired from The Upjohn Company and later worked part time at the Greater Kalamazoo Area of the American Red Cross. Sandra enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking, and finding new adventures; but most of all she loved raising and taking care of her precious family and teaching her grandson how to fish. Sandra was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be remembered for her devotion to family and friends. At her request, she has been cremated. Memorial services will be held Monday, June 21st at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 2122 Bronson Blvd, Kalamazoo, Reverend Grother officiating.
