Sandra “Sandy” Deane Nyberg, of Plainwell peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her family on April 9, 2020 at the age of 80.
Sandy was born December 20, 1939 to Clifford and Edith (Pyle) Mills. She will be remembered for her spunky personality and how deeply she cared for her loved ones. Sandy was known as a hardworking woman who lived her life to the fullest and knew how to have fun. Whether it was being up north, cooking and hosting holiday parties, traveling, attending grandchildren’s sporting events, keeping up on yardwork and housework, working on puzzles, playing dominos or occasionally a margarita in the evening, Sandy truly knew how to enjoy life. She especially treasured her time she spent with her grandson Jackson.
Sandy began dating her husband Wendall “Butch” Nyberg in 1975, two years later on July 1st 1977, they married. Each bringing four children into their loving marriage. Sandy was a very fair and loving mother who always made sure that her family was well provided for and knew that she loved them dearly.
She is survived by all of her children; Gary (Trish) Nyberg, Vicky (Gordon) Fillingim, Bob (Dawn) Nyberg, Greg (Tami) Burd, John (Patty) Nyberg, Rhonda (Bill) Klussmann, Kevin (Cheryl) Nyberg and Lawrence (Jolene) Burd. Her sister Reva (Don) Aukerman; two sister in laws Patsy Nyberg and Marilyn Campbell, as well as her 18 grandchildren and 17 great grand children. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Butch, two brother in laws Larry Nyberg and Richard Campbell and her granddaughter Abbey Nyberg. The family gives a special thank you to the employees at Wings of Hope for all the love and compassion that they showed their mother.
