Scott Edward Richardson

Scott “Scotty” Edward Richardson of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at the age of 58. The sixth child of Rupert and Mildred Richardson, he was born in Tehran, Iran on August 14, 1963 while his father was advisor to the Iranian Air Force.

He is preceded by his parents and sister: Cynthia “Cid” Richardson.

Scott will be fondly remembered by his siblings: Amy Richardson, Gary Richardson, Joseph (AnnaMaria) Richardson, Andrew (Heather) Richardson; five nieces; two nephews; many cousins and special cousin: James Thomas. 

The entire staff at Community Living Options at the Alamo House has the unending gratitude of his family for the phenomenal care Scott received these last twenty-two years.

Scotty is now dancing to the tunes of Lawrence Welk’s Champagne Music.

In accordance with the family’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 534 West Kilgore, Kalamazoo, MI 49008. Following the service Scott’s earthly remains will be placed with his mother and sister at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Gardens.
