Sharon Marie VanGemert

Sharon M VanGemert, age 64, of Plainwell, went to be with her Lord on September 1, 2021. Sharon was born on October 16, 1956 to Richard & Sharon (Versaw) Ulrich. Sharon is survived by her children: Meg (Dion) Buchino, Emma (Rick Burd) Mendoza, John VanGemert and Thomas VanGemert; five grandchildren: Adrian, Brandon, Devin, Brice, and Charlee Lou; her siblings: Dick Ulrich, Elizabeth Ulrich, Paul Matusiak, Janet Wing, and Maggie Matusiak; her Uncle Bob Versaw, as well as several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings: Mark Ulrich and Terry Beaman. Sharon enjoyed playing music, working, and rock hunting. She loved her restaurant, customers, and her family. Sharon had a strong faith and enjoyed doing devotions and spending time with the Lord. She loved to spend time with her grandkids and the quiet times visiting and rock hunting at Lake Superior. She was a very charitable, humble woman who gave without expecting anything in return. She will be missed. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 4 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Old Plank Road Restaurant; 137 N. Main St. in Plainwell, Michigan. In lieu of flowers please do a random act of kindness in Sharon’s memory.
