Stanley Niles Welcher

WELCHER, Stanley N. Allegan Formerly of Schoolcraft Passed away January 22, 2010. Stan Welcher graduated high school from Schoolcraft and attended KVCC. He drove semi truck for many years including heavy equipment. He married Connie Mattmiller in June 1984 and was a devoted and loving husband. He was an avid outdoorsman and race car driver at Kalamazoo Speedway. He also enjoyed traveling cross country with Connie taking many pictures. He loved life, friends and family and was always there to those in need. He is survived by a sister Nilene and Alan Smith, sister in law Judy and Larry Foot and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife Connie, his father and mother Niles and Virginia Welcher. A service will be held at 1P.M. Thursday January 28, 2010 at the Avink Funeral Home Schoolcraft www.avinkcremation.com with burial at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
