Thomas Edward Rickman

Thomas Edward Rickman passed away peacefully March 7, 2010, at the Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo , MI. He was born March 26, 1934 in Detroit, to Paul and Maxine (Crain) Rickman. He attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and also attended the University of Michigan , where he met his wife of 55 years. While serving in the U.S. Army he earned the honor of Master shooter and was ranked number one in the Country for his shooting ability. Following his service in the Army, returned to Kalamazoo and worked as a Remodeling Contractor until his retirement in 2005. Preceding him in death were his parents; and sister Margaret (Peggy) Bowers. He is survived by his wife Annette Rickman of Kalamazoo, MI; son Scott (Loto) Rickman of Moraga, CA; son Brett Rickman of Mt. Laurel, NJ; daughter Susanna Rickman of Kalamazoo, MI; granddaughters Catherine and Zoe Rickman of Mt. Laurel, NJ, grandsons Paul and Troy Rickman of Moraga, CA, granddaughter Barbara Rickman of Moraga, CA; and sister Martha (Marti) Grimes of TX. Cremation has taken place and services will be held Friday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church 247 W. Lovell, followed by a reception in the dining room.
