Timothy M. Jones

Timothy Mark Jones, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, was received by his Lord on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at the age of 56. Timothy was born on March 16, 1964 in Greenfield, Ohio. Better known as Tim, he was the son of Nancy (Frye) Berry and Cledith Berry. Prior to retirement, he was a proud business owner. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fixing things, helping others, and spending time with family and friends. In his last year, Tim was blessed with the companionship of his cat, Church; he enjoyed taking him for walks and proudly showing him off. He is described by his family as a devoted father and poppy, optimistic, faithful, and a comedian. Tim’s love was special—loyal, pure, and endless. To him, no one was a stranger, nor was anything impossible; he believed in the power of prayer and positivity in all situations. Whenever a helping hand was needed, he was there. His family and friends would say to have Tim in your life was a true gift. Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Nancy (Frye) Berry and Cledith Berry; a son, Timothy Leon Jones; and a sister, Cindy Jones. He is survived by his four children: Brittni (Ryan) Perry, of Kalamazoo; Virginia Jones, of Lebanon, Ohio; Tyler (Jazzie) Jones, of Forest Park, Ohio; and Caysee Jones, of Loveland, Ohio; 11 grandchildren: Ethan Middleton, Noah Perry, Adrian Singleton, Stormie Singleton, Abel “Timothy” Perry, Izabella Jones, Carson Singleton, Melanie Jones, Naomi Jones, Veronica Bryan, and Benjamin Jones. He is also survived by his siblings, Keith Jones, Carolyn Elliot, Christy Faulkner, Michael Jones, Traci Brannon, and Brian Berry. True to his character, and in line with his love for children, Tim inherited many “adopted” grandchildren, including Braxton Hammann, Benjamin Perry, Ella Hammann, Alexander Smith, Bentley Labadie, Samuel Smith, Bryleigh Perry, and soon-to-be Oliver “Mark” Perry. Tim has been cremated. His family appreciates all of the love, support, and wonderful memories that have been shared during this time. “It’s much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.”
