Timothy Paul Mitchell

MITCHELL, TIMOTHY PAUL 65 YEARS OLD Tim was born September 9, 1955 in Plainwell, Michigan. He was one of six children born to Delmer (Dick) and Mildred Mitchell. Tim graduated from Plainwell High School, class of 1974, and married his sweetheart Jennifer (Chappell) in 1976. They made their home and raised their children in Otsego. Tim worked for Parker Hannifin Fluidpower Pump Division in Otsego until his retirement. His post retirement years were spent snowblowing the neighborhood, telling his son that he was using tools wrong, bickering with his wife about the proper way to load dishes, and being affectionately known to his grandchildren as Grumpa. We wouldn’t have changed a thing. In addition to his wife, Tim is survived by his son Grant (Jamie) Mitchell and their children, Connor, Ariya and Wyatt Mitchell, and his brother David (Karla) Mitchell, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, and his close friend, Carlos Vasquez. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Erica, and his siblings Janice Wright, Rebecca Mitchell, Daniel Mitchell and Laurie Holloway. Tim passed away at Bronson Hospital after a long struggle with COVID-19. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A barbeque to celebrate Tim’s life will be announced this summer. Those wishing to honor Tim’s memory are asked to do a good deed for a neighbor.
