Timothy S. Parsons was born January 16, 1968, to Jack and Marymargaret Parsons. He passed away on April 16, 2024, at his home in Schoolcraft, MI surrounded by family.
Growing up, Tim had a love of sports, playing both little league and rocket football. He carried his love of sports through high school, where he played baseball and football for Loy Norrix. Tim graduated from Loy Norrix in1986. He then went on to play at Olivet College while pursuing a career in commercial Art. While at Olivet, Tim worked for a restorative crew. He obtained his degree in 1991. Following graduation, Tim worked for Terry Blodgett Builders which jump started his career as a self-employed home builder.
In October of 1996, he married Tammy Schippers, who survives. On May 26, 1998, Zahary was born followed by Cody on December 26, 2002. In December of 2000, Tim completed construction on their family home. Tim and Tammy divorced in 2021.
Tim liked to watch sports on TV but loved to see the Detroit Red Wings play in person. Tim enjoyed hunting and traveling with his happy place being Cowey Lake in Ontario Canada with his friends.
Tim was the same whether you were family or friend, offering never-ending support.
Preceded in death by his mother, Mary Margaret Parsons; his maternal grandfather Forrest Neve; his stepmother Giulia Parsons; his paternal grandmother, Eva Parsons (whom he was very close with); his aunt, Karen Parsons; his uncle, Kenneth Parsons; cousins: Katie Parsons and Tracey Neve Bradley; and niece Christin Kausrud.
Tim is survived by his sons: Zachary and Cody; His father Jack Parsons; his life companion, Cheryl Perk as well as sisters: Ann (Dave); Susan (Harry); his brother Dennis (Stacey) as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private burial is scheduled for the family. A gathering will be held for all to celebrate his life on Friday, April 26 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wind + James: 555 E Eliza St, Schoolcraft, MI 49087. Donations can be made in Tim's memory to the charity of your choice.
