Timothy Kevin Sabin (age 70), of Three Rivers Michigan passed away peacefully at his daughters home on Sept 30, 2024. Tim was born on May 21, 1954 in Albion, Michigan to the late Milford and Norma (Hardwick) Sabin. He graduated from Vicksburg High School.
In his teen years he became infatuated with the girl across the street. Years later, standing on a manhole cover (between their homes) Tim proposed to the love of his life, Karen Hatfield. Together they raised three wonderful children Jenni, Jeremy and Justin whom they loved dearly. Which goes to say a lot about his personality, as to be fair we were naughty kids!
Tim had a passion for anything fast. Over the years he enjoyed racing go karts, and was recently able to purchase and race his own dragster. Just hearing the engine rev would light up his face. He loved fastpitch softball. As a left handed pitcher he played for many teams in many states. He made innumerable friends with teammates and competitors alike. He was able to help out with the girls high school softball team, passing his knowledge to the pitchers.
Everything about him was happy and fast, even his music. He enjoyed playing guitar with his band "Nicky Platinum" and was a member of the United Methodist Worship team where he strummed the guitar strings.
Tim was employed at Simpson Paper and American Axle where he retired as an Instrument Technician. He was so fortunate to be able to spend a good bulk of his life with amazing friends and coworkers.
Tim is survived by his children Jenni (Art) Roberts and Justin (Hope) Sabin. His grandchildren brought him immense joy, especially his "Little Buddy", Vanessa the youngest. Along with countless friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Karen, son Jeremy, and his infant brother Mark and multiple brother and sisters in law.
According to Tim's wishes a cremation has taken place with Avink Funeral Home. His Celebration of Life will be held on November 16, 2024, at 1pm, at the Centreville United Methodist Church in Centerville Michigan.
