Wayne Addison Desness

Wayne Desness Age 79 Of Kalamazoo Passed away peacefully on January 19, 2010. Wayne was born on July 17, 1930 in Plainwell, son of Edward & Lottie Desness. Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnn (Norton) Desness, sister Carolyn White, brother Bob Desness, Betty Wheeler, mother to his children Terri (Steve) Buffenbarger, Susan (Jeff) Bakker, Julie (Randy) Bushee, Scott (Kris) Desness; step-children Charles (Marie) Davis; Christie Lerum, Kirk (Jennifer) Davis, Will (Latisha) McDonald; and 17 grandchildren: Megan (Nick) & Molly; Kelsey; Kyle & Kory; Dillon & Dalton; Aaron (Liz) & Rob; Hunter; Sarah & Michael; Sarah & Grace; Brad, Ethan and Marley Jo. Wayne was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Desness. In addition to enjoying his special companions, Buffy and Cuddles, Wayne enjoyed golfing, following MSU and Lions teams, and was a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place in the summer. Arrangements are being made by Avink Funeral Home Cremation Society, Schoolcraft, MI.
