Willem Havenaar

Willem "Bill" Havenaar, age 63, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 15, 1958 in Sassenheim, Netherlands to the late Fred and Willemina (VarKevisser) Havenaar. Bill and his family came to the United States when he was just one years old and the family settled in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Bill graduated from Parchment High School. He married Kathryn Stampfler on July 25, 1992 and together had two children. Bill enjoyed fishing and being out on the boat, taking his kids, nieces and nephews tubing and water skiing at the family's lake house in Delton, MI. He had a passion for tool and die, and loved going to work everyday to do something he enjoyed and was vey good at. Bill had the biggest heart and was always willing to help anyone who needed something. He was a great dad and grandpa, and was loyal to his family. He was loved by all that knew him. Bill is survived by his former wife: Kathryn and their children, Justin and Audrey; grandchildren: Avianna and Athea; sisters: Laine, Roeny and Alice; brothers: John, Jack, Fred and Bob; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
