William Harvey Crawford

William Harvey Crawford, age 75, passed away on Sunday December 31st, 2023 in Centreville MI.

Bill was born in Lafe, Arkansas on September 20th, 1947. He moved with his family to Colon, Michigan in
the late 1940’s. He was one of 12 children. He joined the Navy in 1965. He served in Vietnam and
received 4 medals for his time. Bill lived in California with Mary who he married in 1968. He always spoke
about how beautiful it was. He was a cab driver while living in California and enjoyed meeting many
interesting characters. After they divorced and he moved back to Michigan, he and Tammy Blevins had
their daughter Ronda in 1983. He enjoyed a lot of time with his family and friends. He was a loving and
caring man. He then married Diane Griems in 1988, and they had Nicole, Mathew and Alex. They were
married for 12 years.

You could usually find Bill building a fire, standing by and watching it. Occasionally you could hear him
talking about time growing up on the farm, or about how the 50s had the best cars. He was someone
who would watch. He didn’t talk as much as he would view the world around him. Bill always worked hard
for his family and his children.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Percy Crawford and Mattie Alvey, and his ELEVEN
brothers and sisters, as well as his granddaughter, Madyson Crawford. Bill is survived by his 4 children,
Ronda Blevins, Nicole Redmond(John), Mathew Crawford(Caitlyn), and Alex Crawford(Autumn), his
grandchildren, Glenna, Daytona (MacKenzie), Honesty, Aeryn, Kaydence, Jonnie, Charleigh, Lincoln,
Hudson, and Wayde, as well as his many, MANY nieces and nephews.
