Passed away Friday morning, January 8, 2010 at Tender-care Westwood. He was born April 13, 1928 in Den Andel, The Netherlands, the son of Maarten and Johanna (Ronda) Doornbos. In 1951 he was united in marriage to Jacoba Hoexum. He immigrated to The United States in 1956, where he lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan with his family and worked for Zurn Industries for over 30 years. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and
traveling throughout the world. He was devoted to the Lord and his family and will be dearly missed. Preceding him in death are his wife, Jacoba in 1973 and granddaughter, Keriann McLain in November of 2009. Surviving are his three daughters,
Johanna (Mike) Thompson
of Mattawan, Wilma (Pat) McLain of Three Rivers, and Barbara (Tom) Ross of Orlando, Florida; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters and their families in The Netherlands. A special
