William Gleason

Gleason, William J. 10/16/1925 - 5/7/2017 Kalamazoo William (Bill) passed away on May 7, 2017, at the age of 91. He was born in Benton Harbor, MI on October 16, 1925. Bill served with the military police on Saipan during World War II. He worked as a commercial hardware salesman, and enjoyed mentoring AFS exchange students. Bill is survived by his wife LeAnn Carson, children, Cheryl (Brian) Gould, Colleen (Randall) Haithcock, Valerie Wynne, Tom Carson, Dave (Judy) Carson, Argentina (Luis) Brugal, grandchildren, Cameron Manning, Erin (Steve) Goodloe, Katee (Josh) Spencer, Leslie (Brian) Dwyer, Sarah (Dave) Dockweiler, Eric Wynne, Katie Carson, Cari Carson and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 13, at 4pm at Pathfinder United Methodist Church, 8740 S. Westnedge, Portage, MI 49002. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or a charity of your choice.
