William Howard

William J. Howard of Gobles Michigan passed away on February 16th, 2025, at the age of 82 at the VA hospital. Bill suffered many years from Parkinson’s and is now resting peacefully.

He was born in Kalamazoo Michigan on June 19th, 1942, to Edwin and Elaine Howard, who both preceded him in death.

Bill worked many years as a mechanic but was most proud of serving his country as a Marine.

He was a great handyman, who loved to tinker in the garage, he loved NASCAR, Basketball, old cars, the occasional Casino trip and Oreos and milk before bed. 

In 1990, Bill reunited with the love of his life Vicki, they were together for over 20 years before they finally married in January of 2013.

He was a devoted husband to Vicki, he was also a loving father to Tammy Howard (Warren), Justin Howard, Lori (Jeff) Bassett and Jack Frost. 

Bill had two grandkids: Jessica Bassett and Matt (Jen) Bassett and six great grandkids: Chris, Aubry, Briella, Matthew, Grace and Emma. 

He loved it when the family and friends came to spend time at the lake.

Following his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no service or memorial is planned at this time.
