William Lee Miller

Bill passed away peacefully at his home on January 12, 2015. He was born on August 29, 1942. Bill graduated from Delton Kellogg High School in 1961. He then joined the Navy & served from 1961 to 1966 & a Reservist until 1968. After being honorable discharged from active duty in the Navy, he met and fell in love with Elaine Drake. They were married on October 14, 1967. They had two beautiful daughters, Kristina & Shellie. After the Navy, he ran an Ambulance service & then was hired by Borgess Hospital in 1967. He worked at Borgess for 37 years in Respiratory Therapy, he retired in 2004. Bill loved spending time with his family, camping, biking, hiking and gardening. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Donald & Arlene Miller, brother Larry Miller, sister Judy Butler. He is survived by his wife Elaine Miller, daughters Kristina Loney & Shellie Bistayi, two son-in-laws, five grandchildren & one great grandson. Visitation will be Friday, January 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm & the Memorial Service on January 31 at 1:00 pm. The Visitation and Memorial service will be at Spring Valley Church at 5240 Mt. Olivet Rd, Kalamazoo MI. In lieu of flowers or plants please donate to Spring Valley Church or Valley Church's Building fund of Allendale.
