WEBBER, “Bill” William George (78)
Of Comstock, MI
Bill was called by the Lord in the early hours of November 1, 2019 at home surrounded by family. A lifetime Kalamazoo County resident, Bill was born on September 14, 1941 to Bernard Webber and Lelah Shelton. Bill was someone to everyone; whether it be a loving husband, outstanding father, devoted grandpa, or friend. Bill had been employed by the Kalamazoo Creamery in past years, and often spoke with great pride of driving the milk delivery truck. He was later employed by the Kalamazoo Gazette for many years as a paper delivery and distribution driver where he made countless friends out of coworkers and lifetime companions out of those friends. That impeccable work ethic transferred into every project he would take on, whether wrenching on his Ford Ranger, house upkeep, or bringing one of his ingenious building ideas to life; he always saw it through to the end and gave all he had to make sure it was done right. He coupled that with just the right amount of stubborness and unwavering strength, which he held onto until the very end of his journey. He was a tinkerer by nature and was always keeping busy, never one to sit still for any longer than to enjoy a cup of coffee. His favorite holiday was Christmas and all the things the season brings. Every year he would set up his Christmas Village collectibles complete with trains, figurines, and characters. He has been a shoulder to lean on for many, and his passing will leave a great void in this world. That golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. From all of us Bill, we want to say thank you for the lessons throughout this life, for always doing what you did no questions asked, and for being the man we all needed. Survived by a large loving family including his wife of 30 years, Melodie Webber (Moon) and her mother Joanne Moon; Children and spouses: Billy & Lisa, Denny & Julia, Joe, Mary & Richard, Mathew & Amanda, Robert & Nicole, Megan & Tyler, Markeyis, Mariah, Marquay, Malaynia; Grandchildren: Ryan, Samantha, Christina, Lelah, Kimberly, Kamren, Jacob, Hunter Lee, Autumn, Hunter Marie, Brooklynn Anne; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
