Wyatt L. Taylor

July 6, 2004 — November 26, 2023

Scotts, MI

Wyatt Linden Taylor, of Scotts passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the age of 19.

Wyatt graduated in 2021 from Portage Community High School. During his senior year, he dual enrolled at KVCC to complete and earn his welding certificate. After graduation Wyatt decided to follow in his father and Uncle Bob’s footsteps and pursue a career in the Union Trades. Wyatt was honored to be hired by WSoule & Company in the fall of 2021. He felt fortunate to be accepted into the Local 7 Sheet Metal Union. Wyatt was proud to be part of WSoule & Company and the Union family.

Wyatt enjoyed dirt bike racing, motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, or anything with two wheels or four. It didn’t matter, any activity he did he gave it his absolute best or as he would say “FULL SEND”. Wyatt has always been known for his unique sense of humor, contagious smile, genuine heart, and the BEST big bear hugs.

Wyatt was fortunate to have a unique bond with his sister, Gracie Lue. Out and about on their adventures, people would often mistakenly think that Wyatt was the older of the two. Gracie lovingly referred to him as the “BEST little big brother” anyone could ever have. The stories those two could tell…could curl any parents hair!

In accordance with Wyatt’s wishes and his genuine heart, Wyatt selflessly provided donations to the Gift of Life. At a very young age, Wyatt learned the importance of organ donation from a childhood friend who was a heart recipient. It was important to Wyatt to provide to others, when and how he could.

Wyatt is survived by his parents: Andy and Tonya Taylor, of Scotts; sister: Gracie Taylor, of Scotts; grandparents: Paddy and Dick Enos, of Portage; great grandparents: Linden and Lois Edwards, of Vicksburg; Aunts and Uncles: Bob (Kris) Taylor, of Portage; Lyndie (Brian Tassell) Wall, of Fulton; Conor (Jenny) Schaub, of NC; Matt (Brittney) Fess, of Vicksburg; Matt (Jen) Roe, of Scotts. Wyatt is also survived by his first cousins: Blake Taylor, Eric Bugg, Isla Schaub, Oliver Schaub, Kasey Tassell and Morgan Tassell and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who were near and dear to Wyatt’s heart.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Theora and Thomas Karns and Papa Jack Taylor.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Visitation will start at 12 pm and the funeral immediately following at 1pm. The visitation and funeral will be held at The Bridge, 7200 Angling Road, Portage, MI 49024.
